PDF to table
The words of a PDF placed in rows and columns by where they sit, saved as a spreadsheet file (CSV). Check it against the page.
The table is an estimate made from where the words sit on the page: cells can be merged, split or shifted. Check it against the PDF before you rely on it.
Your files are never sent anywhere.
How to use it
- Drop one PDF with text (run a scanned PDF through text recognition first).
- Choose the pages with the table, or leave blank for every page, and press Run.
- Save the .csv, or open it in Orihako Data to tidy the table.
Questions and answers
How exact is the table?
It is an estimate. A PDF keeps words at positions, not cells, so the columns come from where the words sit. Merged cells, text that wraps inside a cell and tables without clear gaps can land in the wrong place. Compare it with the PDF.
What about a scanned PDF?
It holds no text, so there is nothing to place. Run it through Text recognition (OCR) first, then make the table.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The table is made in your browser.
