Organise pages
- Merge PDF: Combine two or more PDFs into one, in the order you choose.
- Split PDF: Cut one PDF into several files by page ranges, or one file per page.
- Rotate PDF: Turn some or all pages by 90, 180 or 270 degrees.
- Delete pages: Remove the pages you do not need and keep the rest.
- Reorder pages: Drag the pages into a new order, or type it, and save the result.
- Pages per sheet: Print 2, 4, 9 or 16 pages on one sheet, or fold a booklet.
- Split spreads: Cut scanned two-page spreads into single pages at the fold, in reading order.
- Remove blank pages: Find the empty pages a scanner left behind and delete them.
- Add bookmarks: Write a PDF's table of contents: titles, pages and levels, in any language.
- Document bundle: Put PDFs together behind an index that links to each document, with a bookmark per document, page numbers straight through and the file opening at 100%.
- Split a scanned bundle: One scanned PDF holding many documents becomes one PDF per document. Where each starts is found (a blank sheet, the page number back to 1, a title such as Invoice or Receipt), shown on the pages for you to check, and each is named by kind, date and company in a ZIP with a folder per kind.
Convert
- Images to PDF: Turn photos and scans (JPG, PNG, iPhone HEIC and more) into one PDF, one image per page.
- PDF to images: Save each page of a PDF as an image, at the resolution you choose.
- PDF to Word: The text of a PDF as an editable Word file (.docx), with headings, page breaks and ruled tables. Your files are never uploaded.
- PDF to text: A PDF's text, in reading order, as one plain text file (.txt). Any app opens it, and Orihako Chat's library takes it.
- PDF to table: The words of a PDF placed in rows and columns by where they sit, saved for Excel (.xlsx) and as a CSV. Check it against the page.
- Read a PDF aloud: The PDF's text, read by your computer's own voice: check a contract by ear, listen to a paper on the move. The text is sent nowhere.
- Summarize PDF: The browser's built-in AI lists the key points of a PDF. Your files are never uploaded.
- Extract images: Save every picture in a PDF as its own image file, at full quality.
- Text recognition (OCR): Read the text of a scanned PDF so you can search and copy it. The text is also saved as a text file.
Edit and sign
- Sign and send back: Put your signature or seal and the date on a PDF you received: it is fixed into the page, made smaller and named "<name>_signed.pdf", ready to attach to your reply.
- Fill and sign: Type into a PDF form, then add text, the date, check marks, your signature or a seal anywhere.
- Crop PDF: Trim white margins automatically, cut a fixed margin, or keep an area you draw.
- Change page size: Scale pages to A4, A3, Letter and other paper sizes, centred, without losing sharpness.
- Lock form entries (flatten): Fix filled-in form fields and comments into the page, so nobody can change them.
- Proofread (repeats, mixed spellings): Checks the PDF's text for repeated words, mixed punctuation and spellings, full-width letters, half-width kana, unclosed brackets and very long sentences, and lists them by page and line (HTML and CSV). The PDF is not changed.
- Page numbers: Add page numbers, a header or a footer, such as 3 / 12 or Confidential, to every page.
- Bates numbering: Stamp every page of one or many PDFs with a running number such as ABC000001, continuing from file to file, with a CSV log of each file's range.
- Exhibit labels: Label each PDF as Exhibit A, B, C (or Exhibit 1, Pièce n° 1, 甲第1号証) on its first page, name the files after their labels and get the list of exhibits as a PDF and a CSV.
- Watermark: Put text such as CONFIDENTIAL, or your own image, across the pages, translucent, at any angle. Place it by hand in the preview.
- Stamp: Press a square or round seal with up to four lines of text, like a company seal or a date stamp.
Security and privacy
- Black out (redact): Paint black boxes over words or areas; the pages under the boxes become pictures, so the text is truly gone.
- Remove author info: Remove the hidden author name, title, dates and software name from a PDF before you send it.
- Check before sending: Before sending a PDF, one press answers "can I send this?": hidden text, author details, comments, earlier versions, personal data in the text, whether it has a password, attached files and scripts. Each thing to fix comes with the tool that fixes it.
- AI Mask a PDF: Makes a .txt of the PDF's text with company and people's names, amounts, phone numbers and more replaced by placeholders like 【Company A】 and 【Phone 1】. Ask ChatGPT or Claude with it; the answer gets the real names back on the AI Mask page.
- Scanner-storage check: For each page of a scanned PDF, reads the resolution (200 dpi or more) and the colour depth (colour, 256 levels) on your device and makes a report (CSV and a printable HTML) against Japan's scanner-storage rule. The file is not changed.
- Protect with password: Encrypt a PDF so it asks for a password when opened.
- Remove password: Take the password off a PDF you know the password of.
Compress, compare, sort
- Compress PDF: Make a PDF smaller, especially one with photos, with almost no visible change. Handy for email and upload limits.
- Fit a mail's size limit: Make a PDF small enough to send by email. It is first made smaller without changing any picture; if that is not enough, photos go to the standard quality; if it is still too big, it is cut between pages.
- Compare two PDFs: See what changed between two versions: removed words in red, added words in green, side by side, saved as a PDF.
- Rename invoices: Name invoice PDFs by date, issuer and amount automatically, check the table, download with a CSV index.
- E-invoice reader (Factur-X, ZUGFeRD): Read the invoice data attached inside Factur-X, ZUGFeRD and XRechnung PDFs: seller, number, dates and amounts into a CSV, the XML saved beside, files renamed from it.

Why your files are never uploaded
Most online PDF sites send your file to their server (a computer on the internet), process it there, and promise to delete it later. Orihako does the work inside your browser instead. There is nowhere to send your file, so contracts, invoices and personal documents stay with you.
Because your files are not uploaded, there is no queue and no daily cap. One run handles up to 500 MB in total (about 200 MB on a phone). Once the page has loaded, it keeps working offline.
AI assistants and other online services can do these jobs too, but they upload your document first, where it may be stored, read by people or used to train AI. Orihako never sends your documents.
Questions and answers
Is it really free?
Yes. Every tool, including text recognition (OCR), redaction, watermarks, stamps and signatures, is free with no usage limit (up to 500 MB per run), one file at a time. Chaining steps, processing many files at once and automation are part of Pro, bought once or as a 7-day pass. Pro has no monthly fee.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no e-mail. The only things kept on this device are your settings, your saved recipes and, if you buy a plan, your licence key.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in any modern browser on iOS or Android. Large files depend on the phone's memory.
