Scanner-storage check
For each page of a scanned PDF, reads the resolution (200 dpi or more) and the colour depth (colour, 256 levels) on your device and makes a report (CSV and a printable HTML) against Japan's scanner-storage rule. The file is not changed.
Your files are never sent anywhere.
How to use it
- Drop one scanned PDF.
- Press Run. Each page's picture is measured for pixels and colours.
- Open the HTML report, fill in who checked and when, and keep it with the file.
Questions and answers
What does it check?
Each page's scanned picture: its resolution (pixels over the page size) and colour depth (colour, greyscale or black and white). 200 dpi or more and colour counts as meeting the rule.
Does it check timestamps or retention?
No. It reads only the numbers inside the file. The operating rules are the tax office's guidance.
Is my file sent anywhere?
No. The reading happens in your browser and nowhere else.
